At Dan Mackenzie Creative, we are committed to the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence technologies in our strategic consulting, research, and creative services. We believe AI should augment human creativity and intelligence, not replace it, while respecting privacy, fairness, and transparency.

1. Our AI Principles

1.1 Human-Centric AI

All AI-generated content and insights are reviewed and enhanced by qualified human experts. AI tools enhance human creativity rather than replace human judgement. Final decisions on client work remain with human professionals, and human expertise ensures accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness of outputs.

1.2 Transparency and Accountability

Clients are informed when AI tools are used in their projects. We explain how AI contributes to research and analysis with clear distinction between AI-assisted and fully human-created work. We take full responsibility for all deliverables regardless of AI involvement.

1.3 Privacy and Data Protection

Client data is never used to train AI models without explicit consent. All AI processing occurs within secure, GDPR-compliant systems. Personal data is not retained in AI systems beyond project completion, and strict confidentiality is maintained for all client information.

1.4 Fairness and Non-Discrimination

We regularly assess AI outputs for bias and discrimination. We are committed to fair representation, use diverse data sources to minimise algorithmic bias, and immediately correct any identified bias in AI-generated content.

2. AI Applications in Our Services

2.1 Strategic Consulting and Research

AI is used for: Market data analysis and pattern recognition, competitive intelligence gathering, trend analysis and forecasting, and research acceleration.

Human oversight ensures: Strategic interpretation of findings, contextual relevance and applicability, quality validation and accuracy checking, and custom recommendations based on client needs.

2.2 Creative Services

AI may assist with: Initial concept development and ideation, design element generation, content optimisation, and technical process automation.

Human creativity leads: Artistic direction and vision, final creative decisions, client relationship and understanding, and brand authenticity.

2.3 Event Management

AI supports: Vendor research and comparison, logistics optimisation, attendee data analysis, and resource planning.

Human expertise provides: Personal service and relationship management, creative problem-solving, on-site adaptation, and emotional intelligence in interactions.

3. Data Governance and AI

3.1 Client Data Protection

Explicit consent obtained before AI processing. Data used only for specified project purposes. Only necessary data processed through AI systems. Project data removed from AI systems upon completion.

3.2 AI Training Data

Client data never used to improve AI models. We use AI services with ethical training practices. Preference for AI trained on public domain and licensed content. Regular auditing of AI service providers' data practices.

3.3 Dedicated AI Spaces

For complex projects, we create secure AI workspaces: Each project in separate, secure environment; strict access limitations; 30-day maximum retention post-completion; complete data removal with deletion certification available.

4. Quality and Accuracy Standards

4.1 AI Output Validation

All AI-generated facts and figures independently verified. Original sources identified and credited. Multiple validation steps for critical information. Immediate correction of identified inaccuracies.

4.2 Bias Prevention and Mitigation

Systematic testing for bias in AI outputs. Multiple viewpoints considered in analysis. Commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory language. Ongoing refinement of bias detection and correction.

4.3 Human Enhancement Standards

Human oversight adds significant value beyond AI output. Domain expertise applied to all AI-assisted work. Human review ensures cultural and contextual appropriateness. Final work aligned with client values and goals.

5. Transparency in Client Communication

5.1 AI Disclosure

We proactively inform clients when: AI tools are used in their project, the extent and nature of AI involvement, how AI contributes to deliverables, and any limitations or considerations regarding AI use.

5.2 Client Rights and Controls

Clients have the right to: Opt-out of AI use in their projects, define specific restrictions on AI use, request fully human-generated alternatives, and control how their data is processed through AI.

6. Compliance and Governance

6.1 Regulatory Compliance

Full compliance with UK GDPR data protection regulations. Adherence to relevant professional standards. Compliance with all applicable laws. Respect for varying international AI regulations.
